Groups
Therapy groups help you to share your issues with like-minded people. Working together in a safe environment, you can gain insight into your own patterns and make sense of unresolved problems.
Weight Loss Groups
Have you spent years trying to lose weight but never succeeded?
In weekly weight loss groups, we explore patterns of compulsive eating, recognise the triggers that lead to overeating and learn new ways to respond to food.
Through the support of others who understand the frustration of constant dieting and weight gain, we help each other become more conscious around eating and body image.
Our ultimate aim is to lose weight.
I have led a number of groups around overeating and self-awareness. My MA thesis ‘Stories of Solitude and Shame: Unveiling the Mysteries of Compulsive Overeating’ explores the roots of compulsive eating, body dysmorphia and the causes of weight gain.
General Therapy Groups
Would you like to improve your interaction with others?
I run weekly process oriented therapy groups which help you to learn to interact more easily with others. Expressing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the group, in the ‘here and now’ can help you identify the roles you play in a group, and increase your success as a team player.
Group therapy offers a safe environment for you to share your feelings and experiences with other members. People in therapy groups say that the group helps them to understand that they are not alone, and that there are other people with similar experiences who care.
